Riders Choice will be more stable with a more aggressive profile and magna traction. Gnuru is the more playful of the two. With size 12’s you may consider going to a wide vs mw board.
    Cheers, Dana

I get what extruded and sintered bases are, but what is a co-extruded base?

Which board would be best for my size 185sm 80kg with size 10 boots.goofy 156 or the 158
    Thanks

  • Timothy Unwin

I wear a size 12 boot as well and I owned the 157.5 non wide and it was fine. Don’t believe it when ppl say a size 12 has to ride a wide board. Don’t get me wrong I own wide boards too but you can get away with 25.5 at the waist. My riders choice is 25.3 at the waist which is really pushing it but it’s still fine. I’ve found that he perfect waist width for a size twelve is anywhere from 25.7 to 26.2. Boards that are 26.6 plus are just unnecessary. If you had a 13 or 14 shoe I could see riding a 26.6. Plus your edge transitions are faster heel to toe and vice verse on a the narrower decks

Quick question, why is there metal edges on the sides and not the tail or nose?

    Hi,
Just curious. First time getting a board. I’m female 6’0 180lb size 11 boot. should I get the 158 or the 155 and I also don’t know if I want a medium wide or a just regular?
    Thank you!

I`m 182 cm (little less than 6′) and 77kg (170 lbs) .. what is the right size for me. I`m riding mostly groomers and I want to start jumps, tricks (not park) etc. Is 158 ok ?

  • Hello Alex,

for your size and weight the 155 would be the best size for you! depending on your boot size, if you have a 10.5+ boot, you might want to ride the Mid wide, a boot smaller then that, the standard would be fine. hope this helps!

Hey! I have a little experience in snowboarding. Actually it was one season on rental boards, and now I am looking for my first own board. Will Metal Gnuru work as “first afterrentals” board or should look for something more beginner-like?

    Thanks!

  • Hello,

the Metal Gnuru would work well for somebody getting their first board! You might also want to check out a Carbon credit, or a Lib Tech Skate Banana. Both boards work great for beginners!

    Hope this helps!

Mervin, thanks alot for your advice.
my weight is about 213 lbs, so it’s not easy to find Skate banana in size I need at this moment and Carbon credit seems a bit soft for my weight and Gnuru looks like more board for further progression. So I tink I’ll stick to Gnuru.
    Thanks again!
    Anton.

  • Edmond

    HI,
I’m a beginner and wanna to have my first board, Can u give me some advice that Metal Gnuru and Lib Tech Skate Banana , is it suitable for a beginner? and any different between this 2 board? I’m around 173 cm and 145 lbs and my boot size is 10.5… so which size is suitable for me on those board? thx a lot

  • Hello,

Both of these boards would be great beginner boards. The Metal Gnuru is slightly more aggressive then the skate banana because it has an EC2 camber profile, while the skate banana has BTX. The Metal Gnuru has an ASYM side cut, and the skate banana does not. between these two features, the boards will ride slightly different. but once again both these boards will be great for a beginner to learn and progress on. For you height, weight and boot size, the appropriate size for you would be around a 150-153.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi,
I’m 184cm tall and 88kg, 9 US boot size. Can you please tell me right size Metal Gnuru for me? Also I’m having trouble finding one in Australia. can you help? Thanks, David

  • Hello,

depending on your style of riding you have a couple option. If this is going to be a park or just cruising groomers board, i think you could jump on the 55′ and be just fine! but if this is going to be a little bit more of a pow day board, you might want to consider riding the 58′.
